Chief Operating Officer, Ukrainian farming business

Exciting opportunity to drive forward a dynamic and expanding Ukrainian farming business.

Our client, an international investor in agribusiness, wishes to recruit a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for their existing 7,000 ha farming business in Western Ukraine. Working closely with, and reporting directly to, the owner-managers in London, the COO will have overall responsibility for all aspects of production and will be instrumental in the anticipated growth of the business to circa 30,000 hectares within the next two to three years.

The COO will have full responsibility for planning, budgeting and reporting, crop husbandry, procurement, marketing, HR, business administration and land management processes.

Experience of working internationally in a similar environment would be an advantage, as would Ukrainian or Russian language skills. Probably educated to degree level, candidates will have a track record of delivering first class crop production. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, candidates will also be determined, results driven and able to thrive in a sometimes challenging environment.

For the successful applicant this is an excellent opportunity within a forward thinking and dynamic, international farming business to drive, manage and develop a business with long term owners. The successful candidate can expect an excellent remuneration package including salary, bonus, travel costs and comfortable accommodation.
