Welcome to new ASA President Eoin Lowry  

We welcome Eoin Lowry as the new President of ASA.  Eoin succeeds Seán Farrell whose term of office expired at our AGM on 12 September, in the Killashee House Hotel, Naas,Co. Kildare.

From a tillage farm at Ratheniska, Portlaoise, Eoin is agribusiness of the Irish Farmers Journal.  He graduated from UCD with a BAgrSc in 2001.  After completing a MAgrSc in UCD, he joined French fertiliser company Groupe Roullier.  He then moved to the position of operations manager with Cooney Furlong Grain in Wexford.

In 2008, he graduated with an MBA from Smurfit School of Business.  In the same year, he was appointed managing director of Target Fertilisers, a position he held until 2013.  He was appointed agribusiness editor of the Irish Farmers Journal in January 2014.

We wish him every success in his presidency of the ASA for the next 12 months.  We also extend our sincere thanks to Seán Farrell for his enormous work on behalf of ASA members during the past year.
