Junior EU Aid Volunteer, Rwanda: Agriculture and Agro-Ecology
We are looking for an individual with agricultural qualifications to work on capacity building with our country team and local partners in Rwanda. I have copied some of the tasks below. it is an EU Aid volunteer position, however volunteers are paid a monthly stipend outlined in the vacancy, as well as having accommodation and flights fully covered.
Tasks in Trócaire Rwanda

Working closely with the Trócaire Rwanda team and with local partners;

• Develop strong working relationships with local partner organisations, underpinned by principles of respect and mutual support;
• Provide support to Trócaire and local partners on integrating resilience building, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction best practices into agricultural programming
• Review and adapt agricultual programme strategies and support the roll-out of appropriate approaches to resilience, through training, accompaniment, tool development and other activities
• Lead on the development and roll-out of organisational capacity building plans with local partners, drawing on Trócaire’s Partner Capacity Assessment and Support Framework, and including a specific focus on agriculture agroecology, humanitarian response capacity, disaster preparedness and resilience-building;
• Work with local partners to monitor the impact of capacity building initiatives, including through the implementation of the agreed REACH monitoring framework;
• Develop and implement a communications strategy to strengthen Trócaire Rwanda’s communication on its work to both internal and external audiences, including donors, with a particular focus on enhancing Trócaire Rwanda’s online profile, documenting stories of change and highlighting Trócaire’s partnership approach;
• Linking closely with the EU Aid Volunteer Coordinator, comply with all in-country EUAV requirements, including EUAV communication and visibility requirements; use of the EUAV online platform; and participation in relevant events to promote the EUAV initiative
