Who is Dr. Anneline Padayachee?
From breast milk science to maternal and infant nutritional needs, the role of packaging on meat tenderness and the future of dairy products, alternative proteins and plant-based innovations, Dr Anneline covers ALL aspects of food and nutrition from paddock to the end user to poop. However what sets this scientists apart is her expertise in human behaviour and understanding motivations while also focusing on commercial opportunities for blue sky research to drive real innovation in industry in order to make good food better for consumers. The award-winning scientist and published author is renowned for her easy communication style, translating the complex in the simple and has been named one of Australia’s leading science communicators. A highly sought after motivational speaker and thought leader in the future of food innovation and nutrition with a reputation for mixing scientific evidence with the realities of life while forecasting the future. Dr. Anneline has a PhD in Nutritional Food Science, BApplied Science (Food Science and Nutrition) and an Honours degree majoring in Nutritional Epidemiology, and is also a qualified personal trainer. She is a registered nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of Australia and is a professional member of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology. She was named a Future Food Leader in Innovation by the AIFST and Food Innovation Australia Limited, is a recipient of the Nutrition Society of Australia’s award for Research Excellence in Nutrition and Dietary Fibre Research and has won the title of Australia’s Best Performing Science Communicator. Dr Anneline is an independent consultant to industry bodies, private companies, the media and academia both in Australia and overseas, and is also an Adjunct Senior Lecturer with The University of Queensland and Associate Academic with the University of Melbourne. With nearly 20 years’ experience in the food and nutrition industry is passionate about knowledge transfer, cross-sectorial collaboration and solving problems for the end user.
Dr. Padayachee is joining us for the Annual Conference on Friday, September 13th and is remaining in Ireland to host this workshop. She will be going in-depth from her discussion at the Conference during this event.
