General Manager, Munster Agri Feed Business
Due to an impending retirement there is an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Management Team at a well-established Agribusiness in Munster.
Our client has a profitable, family owned and award winning business manufacturing quality feeds for livestock farmers in Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
The company employs over 20 people, has a turnover of c. €9M pa and manufactures ruminant feeds in a modern mill to ISO 9001 quality standards.
They invite applications for the position of General Manager to drive the further growth and development of this high performance business.
Reporting to the Board of Directors this is an exciting and key senior management role offering the successful candidate the opportunity to become a Director in due course
Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
› Development of short, medium and long term strategy for the business.
› optimising all resources throughout the business with a particular focus on people.
› Promoting and achieving efficiency improvements in all commercial operations.
› Ensuring compliance with all legal, financial and statutory requirements.
› Overall responsibility for the continuing development and success of the business.
The successful candidate will hold a third level qualification. Ideally he or she will have commercial experience in an Agribusiness.
Excellent business, communications, finance, HR, IT and leadership skills are essential for this important role.
A knowledge of feed milling operations and livestock production would also be a distinct advantage.
