Stan Lalor became Director of Knowledge Transfer with Teagasc in late 2020. This role includes being responsible for the Advisory and Education activities and programmes in Teagasc.
He is a native of Co. Laois and has previously worked in Teagasc in advisory roles in Kildare and Monaghan, and more recently in soils, nutrient management and organic manure research at Johnstown Castle, Wexford.
He also has six years’ experience in private industry working in the Agri-supply sector before re-joining Teagasc in his current role in 2020.
He graduated from UCD with a B.Agr.Sc in Animal & Crop Production followed by an M.Agr.Sc in Soil Science. He later completed a PhD with Wageningen University, The Netherlands. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor in the UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science.
