On 29th November, the ASA hosted a webinar to update members on the organic marketplace. The Government recently announced a 500% increase in funding under the new Common Agricultural Policy to encourage more farmers to convert to organic. The €256m budget for the organic farming scheme under CAP 2023-2027 aims to increase the utilisable agricultural area in organics from 2% to 7.5%. This ASA event will hear the views from some of the key organic processors operating in the Irish market and the latest figures from Bord Bia on demand for organic produce.
