ASA Association Executive

Full Time Position - Remote/Hybrid Working

The ASA is a voluntary association representing the professional interest of ag science graduates in Ireland. The association has over 1600 members.

The Role:

The role of the ASA Association Executive is to support and deliver on behalf of the ASA Council and to the manage the running of the association on a day-to-day basis. This involves membership relations, extensive event management and administration. The ASA Association Executive will be involved in the development and delivery of a diverse range of services to ASA members and in ensuring that members’ interests are effectively represented to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong event management to deliver over 30 events per annum including the ASA Annual Conference and Banquet, the flagship industry event with an attendance of 600 delegates.

• To manage all activity of the ASA membership including retention, renewal, recruitment etc. Member liaison with all ASA members and administrative duties associated with this.

• To support the ASA council in the implementation and delivery of strategy and all activities.

• To facilitate organisation of local, regional and national activities, publications, newsletters etc in conjunction with ASA Council and relevant third parties

• To manage ASA Communication activity both directly and with the external PR.

• To ensure that the day to day operations of the Association are effectively and efficiently managed included all administrative and financial activity.
