Tom Griffen

Tom Griffin is General Counsel and Co-op Secretary at one of Ireland’s largest dairy co-operatives, Lakeland Dairies. With 20-years experience in the corporate, legal and secretarial fields, Tom brings a wealth of experience to the role with the cross-border co-op.

In his six years in Lakeland Dairies, Tom has overseen and led some considerable restructuring of the co-op as well as providing strategic legal counsel on a mergers, acquisitions and major rule changes within the co-operative.

These rules changes have been designed to modernise and support the co-op and its diverse 3,200 farm families who produce 2bn litres of high-quality milk on annual basis. Prior to joining Lakeland Dairies in 2018, Tom was key member of range bluechip corporate and legal firms including AIB, KPMG and Byrne Wallace.

A native of Co Limerick, Tom now resides in Dublin with his wife Fiona and their two children Alex (6) and Annie (3). A keen sportsman, Tom is a strong supporter of Limerick GAA and Munster rugby.
